The Nation Fair will take place in Vilnius for the ninth time
This weekend, on September 15-17, the Nation Fair will be held in Vilnius, the main goal of which is to organize the presentation of national communities, crafts, national dishes, customs and traditions of people living in Lithuania.
In the fair participate the most active craftsmen and culinary masters, singers and dance virtuosos every year. This year’s fair will take place all over Gediminas Avenue, Odminiai, Žemaitė squares, Lukiškių Square and the Cathedral Square. The residents of Vilnius and city guests will be invited to taste various national dishes, they will be able to learn the finery and recipes of their preparation, get acquainted with national customs and customs traditions. Families will be invited to participate in the National Fairs Basketball Tournament. And the smallest participants of the fair will have a children’s entertainment area set up at the Cathedral Square.
During all three days of the fair there will be a colorful project “Friendship Ring” on V. Kudirka Square, where 20 collectives from different cities of Lithuania will present their musical and dance performances. The member of Vilnius cultural center – the Jewish Song and Dance Ensemble “Fajerlech” will also participate in the project on Sunday.
