The ensemble began its activities in 1995, aiming to preserve the traditions of Samogitian ethnic culture and heritage.
“Tykle” is the folklore, ethnic heritage, and dialects of the Samogitian region and the borderlands of Lithuania Minor. It is creative activity, search and dissemination, love for one’s native Samogitia, the legacy of one’s ancestors, and a community of like-minded countrymen.
