“Versmė” began its activities in 1985 as a vocal ensemble. Today it is a mixed seniors’ choir. “Versmė”’s repertoire includes folk songs and works by Lithuanian composers. The most popular songs of this choir are performed annually at the Lithuanian Seniors’ Song and Dance Festival. One of the most memorable achievements is participation in the Vilnius Teachers’ House musical “Unseen Dreams” based on Ignas Šeinias’ novel “Kuprelis”. The goal of the club movement is to unite all seniors of Vilnius city for the implementation of creative ideas through song at joint Vilnius city and republican events. This choir is an inexhaustible example of energy and quality lifestyle, encouraging them to give all their creative and physical powers, trying to activate the lives of seniors, its members are united by their hobbies and talent.
