The Polish Song and Dance Ensemble “Kapela Vilenska” – a member of Vilnius Cultural Center is a city folklore ensemble founded in 1988.

The urban folklore in Vilnius was not as popular as in Lvov or Warsaw, so the participants of the ensemble made their own repertoire.

Currently „Kapela Vilenska’s“ repertoire consists of well-known and favorite songs of interwar Vilnius, Lvov, Warsaw, and other Polish cities. Vilnius poets Aleksander Sniežko and Alicja Rybalko write new works, while an ensemble member Zbigniev Levicki composes the music.

“Kapela Vilenska” repertoire includes Vilnius, Lviv, Warsaw, Christmas, patriotic programs.

“Kapela Vilenska” performs not only in Lithuania, but also in various cities of Poland, Belarus, Lvov, Moscow, Vienna, Paris, Rome.
