On Saturday a stylish Christmas tree was lit in Vilnius Town Hall Square

At 4PM was lit a stylish Christmas tree in front of the Town Hall.

Traditionally representatives from various countries across the world congratulated the gathered in their languages. A festive holiday concert was gifted to everyone by Neringa and Tele Bim-Bam and singer Sasha Song.

On Saturday from the morning the International Christmas Charity Bazaar was held in the Vilnius Town Hall too.

The International Vilnius Women’s Association which unites women in the Lithuanian and foreign diplomatic corps, business and public organisations has organized the bazaar for the 15th time now.

The funds gathered during the International Christmas Bazaar will be dedicated to those met with misfortune.

The traditional cutting of the ribbon opened the Bazaar in the presence of this year’s International Women’s Association of Vilnius Chair, Ebba Michelsson, the wife of Finnish Ambassador to Lithuania, Mrs. Adamkienė, the ICCB Honourable Ambassador, and Mrs Silvija Skvernelė wife of the Prime Minister and this year’s, Bazaar’s Patron, and Vilnius Mayor Remigijus Šimašius.

With a large selection of food, drinks and gift ideas on display inside and outside, it brought together more than 30 diplomatic representations and five of the Vilnius based international schools. A fine selection of domestic and original gift ideas, crafts and jewellery ensured that there was something to fit every taste and budget.

The Town Hall were featured entertainment for both adults and children. The little ones had great possibility to meet Santa Claus from Lapland.

Meanwhile, in the Town Hall Square there was a traditional food market where representatives of the Czech Republic, Georgia, Germany, India, Ireland, Japan, Russia and Ukraine offered to try their traditional food products.

From tomorrow Vilnius residents and city guests will be welcomed by the Christmas town established in cosy and unique spaces in Town Hall Square. The only such Christmas town in the Baltics will surprise many with the festive atmosphere it creates.

The Christmas town in the Town Hall Square will be available up to January 7.
